I was blown away by the DS1054Z (as were many), but this seems even less believable:

Hantek DSO5202BM, 200 mhz, $351.20 and free shipping?

The site doesn't look sketchy, so...?  Is there some drawback to the Hantek that isn't obvious to me?

If you think that is an incredible price, knock yourself out with another $100 off and get the 70MHz version, e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Hantek-DS ... width/dp/B00RJPXB6Y

Then upgrade it to 200MHz with the well known software hack (search for tinhead's mega thread).

I'm not so sure that it's *just* a software hack. I have the MSO5074FG and the analog switches are only 70MHz rated; It would need a part swap (and there are also some minor tweaks to the gain resistors to flatten the response) to get reasonable output. These are also on the same megathread I think...

As far as I know, this hack for a long time does not make sense, because Oscilloscopes Hantek DSO5102 have come from the manufacturer with the ability to set the scan time 2ns. However, this does not make it equal Hantek DSO5202. More precisely once upon a time, these oscilloscopes really differed only on the firmware level, but those days are long gone and now these models are not only on the firmware level, but also at the hardware level ... For example, to my knowledge, they use different operational amplifiers. In general, to date, if you need an oscilloscope series Hantek DSO5000P / B / BM with 200Mhz bandwidth, then you have to take a Hantek DSO5202P / B / BM ...

P.S: It seems rather strange that you ask a question relating to his cracking the oscilloscope forum manufacturer ...
P.P.S: Sorry my bad english.
