@mamad, the function you descripted is a product called logger——sample & log the ad sample values to a external storage devices, like flash-disk or sth else.
metlogger and scope is faced to different problems in measure signals tasks.
using meter, you can quickly got a skeleton view of the signal. like VMS, min max value.
using logger, you can keep eyes on a signal in a slowly sample speeds.
the scope is used to capture the signal's details, in a limited time-span.
