My Reply:

The power button works. The light is on. There is a waveform after

the channel is connected to the 1KHz terminal.

The twist control knobs are not working (all of them). Everything

else seems to be working.

Turning the system off an back on does not work. This is a brand

new unit and it was working perfectly for about 20 hours. Now the

control dials don't do anything. Could this be fixed with a

factory reset? Is there a way to do a factory reset?

thanks of course. But this is a common driver for devices with visa. Windows 11 reports a driver error. I need a normal working driver so that there are no errors

Hello, I have the same problem as the OP.

The scope worked well several months ago, but when I connected it yesterday, everything seems to go OK except for the knobs (all of them).

UTILITY/FrontPanelSelftest confirms the problem: all pushbuttons work but none of the rotary knobs do.

I've tried software and firmware update to the latest version SW 1.0.2.0.0 (221028.00) FW 3205 with platform tools (it's impossible to do it via USB drive, as the V0 knob is needed to select the file...), and also downgrading it again to 1.0.1.1.0(20210726.0)-3202, but the problem persists

Any idea? Hardware failure at front panel PCB or other possibilities?

PROBLEM SOLVED

The failure was caused by a faulty rotary encoder that, due to bad design, had one of its terminals short-circuited to the case and, hence, to ground, blocking not only its signal but that of the rest of the encoders, as they all share the same row in the front panel scanning matrix.

Technical details here, and the initial debugging of the problem in the posts from here at the same thread.

Basically, you have to detect which of the encoders have the problem checking continuity form both sides to ground and then replace it or repair it with some isolation tape.

BTW, this problem not only affects the DSO2000 series but also other models that share the same type of encoders and user interface scanning solution. In fact, the video that describes the problem and its solution is for a DSO5202P.

Hi, in dso2d10 model which command causes data sending to USB port and which scpi command can read the binary data from USB port. Almost whole command for setting and getting parameters works (like *idn?), but I cannot find command like ":acquire:memory?"
