I couldn't sleep too well, so I got back at my favorite place, my electronics/computer workbench, and rebooted the system.
And now the o-scopes' showing the red, solidly lit led. But no cursers on the o-scope output screen. And the "Searching device..." is at the lower left of the window, and "RUN" at the top left.
After the machine is connected to the computer, can the device be displayed in the device manager of the computer, and what is the device name displayed? What is your computer system? If you want to use the driver on the official website, you can try it. http://hantek.com/products/detail/31
