I have downloaded and installed the software and drivers, but my W10 Asus laptop never sees a new USB device.  Accordingly, the scope is not usable.

How can I verify if it is Dead On Arrival?

sorry if you feel that i am stating the obvious but start from simple things.
did you connect both usb cables to the laptop?
is it possible that you check with a different computer?
can you check device manager to see if the is an "unknown device" or "other devices" (normally windows should notify you about it but sometimes they may glitch)
P.S. i am just another user trying to help, nothing official. i just used these scopes for a couple of years and that's just some advice

I found the problem, but have no clue as to solution.
DRIVER1 is installed and Device Manager shows it
Open the driver and all look ok until we look at Properties/ Events
Says Device not started (Hantek6022BL1)
Information window shows
Device USB/.   requires further installation
Digging deeper shows source Kernel-PnP
Driver name oem43.inf
Problem 0x34
Problem Status: 0xC0000428

I have updated and reinstalled several times. Same results.
How do I get help from Hantek

I will return this to Amazon if I can’t get help.
