If the vertical scale of a channel is changed for a currently displayed waveform (trigger STOPPED), and THEN saved to a memory slot, and then recalled, the waveform on the screen will be drawn according to the vertical scale that was selected at the time the waveform was captured, but the vertical scale in the status will be the one that was selected AFTER capture. Thus, the amplitude of the waveform will be incorrect.
Steps to reproduce:
- Enable AWG, default setting (1kHz square, 2V amplitude)
- switch to scope, ensure trigger is STOPPED
- Set Ch1 to 1V/div, 1V rising trigger, mode SINGLE
- Connect Ch1 to AWG
- Press run button, observe acquired waveform has correct amplitude (2V)
- Change vertical scale to 500mV, observe waveform still has correct amplitude (2V)
- Save waveform to slot 1
- Recall slot 1
- observe waveform now has an INCORRECT apparent amplitude ***1V***
