Customer Consultation

Hello there,
I have bought a Hantek oscilloscope, model DSO5202P, 3 or 4 years ago. I am very happy with my oscilloscope, but now I am working with complex signals. For example AM SSB SC ( Amplitude Modulation, Single Side Band, Suppressed carrier); I can not see the signal envelope even using 4K depth memory.
I am wondering if I could add more depth memory, for example 1M?
Thank you in advance,
Regards,

The maximum depth memory is 40K for DSO5202P.
It depends on the hardware and cannot be changed to a larger size.
Please use 40K to try. But 40K can only be used in continuous sampling mode.

Hello Amy,
Thank you for answering.
hmmm, Is there any work around to better view AM modulated signals?
I am very happy with my Oscilloscopes, actually I have one Hantek DSO5202P and DSO5102P.
Is there any other Hantek model with 1M depth memory or higher? I need a model with 200MHz bandwidth or higher.
Thank you in advance,
Regards,
Elcio

DSO5202B - max depth memory 1M, DSO5202BM - max depth memory 2M.

You just need to keep in mind two features of these oscilloscope models:
1) When you enable memory depth greater than 4K, the maximum possible sampling rate will decrease from 1GS/sec to 400 MS/sec;
2) When you turn on the memory depth more than 40K, the oscilloscope will start to work noticeably slower. The oscilloscope will respond with delay to manipulation of its controls. The greater the depth of memory, the more it will manifest itself;
3) Due to a bug in the software of the DSO5202BM oscilloscope (which they refuse to fix !!!), when using 512K and 1M memory depth, the oscilloscope can use only 80% of this memory. When using a 2M memory depth, this problem occurs only if you set the time base to 800 us.
