Hi im hoping someone out there can help me with the issue I have with my new scope, I was loving this firt scope I have ever had, should have got one years ago.
The scope was working fine and connected to an AC reluctor source (Crank sensor VR) at the time putting out approx 2v, it was connected for about 30 minutes, without warning the scope disconnected from the pc.
The pc will not now see this device when connected.
Observations: The power LED on the board is not lit.
Things I have checked and done todate: Check and reload driver, remove and reload software and driver etc, tried another usb leed
Inspected scope circuit board for obvious burnt areas, none found on board and all components appear intact.
Checked USB voltage on board at basic locations, it appears to have 4.36 volts present in most locations with some at 1.86v, as I have no idea where to or how to test this correctly I am unsure of what I need to find/check.
Does the board have any voltage protection/fuseable links etc I should test, I am not an electronics expert but can work my way through most tasks.

Any help out there would be much appriciated.

Kind regards, Jeff

Please test the voltage at both ends of the two capacitors.

Hi Amy, thank you for your fast response, I have tested the C14 & C16 capacitors as listed.
C14: 0v === +3.30v.
C16: 0v === +4.82v.

Anything else you need please let me know, I appreciate your help on this.

Kind regards, Jeff
