How to Create a Bode Plot

Part Eight  Creating the Bode plot


1. For the Gain plot: Enter one step here and then click 1. Select the Frequency and Gain columns.


2. Click “Insert” and look for the “Scatter Chart” option.


3. Right-click the vertical axis and choose “Format Axis…”


4. Click “Logarithmic scale”


5. Right-click the horizontal axis and choose “Format Axis…”


6. Click “Logarithmic scale”


7. For the Phase plot: Select the Frequency and Gain columns.


8. Enter one step here and then click “Insert” and look for the “Scatter Chart” option.


9. Right-click the horizontal axis and choose “Format Axis…”


10. Click “Logarithmic scale”.
