Title: Scope Spec Frequency vs Actual Frequency
Hi Hantek Team.

Please help me understand the following.
I have the 6254BD PC Scope with the spec from your Datasheet Frequency is 250Mhz and 1 Ga Samples per second,
Now how do I calculate the maximum frequency  of a signal that I can measure with the scope ? If 1 Channel is used and when 4 channels are used .
In my opinion it would be something like 50Mhz when 4 channels are used ,
Please can you help here with the technical information how to calculate the efferctive measuring frequency of a channel .
I appreciate your information

Regards

No matter how many channels you open, the bandwidth of each channel is 250MHz.
But when you open four channels, the sampling rate of each channel is reduced from 1GSa/s to 250MSa/s.
Collect 3 to 5 points in each period, it may draw a correct waveform.
If you use 250MSa/s sampling rate to collect 250MHz waveform, only one point is collected for each cycle. The waveform will be seriously distorted.

Thank you Amy That is as I understand it as well
4 Channels opened sample rate per channel is 250MS/s and if you need  at least 5 points so it is 50MHz signal when using 4 CH
that is fine I will never measure 4 CH 50Mhz per channel
