Can the Hantek 6074BC support UART decoding ? If so How do I set it up?
The trigger options are available on the Right Hand Side trigger mode but not in the T trigger button on the short cut bar.

Is there a help screen or tutorial on how to set this up?

Many thanks

I have had a play and been able to trigger off the Stop bit when selected as long at the trigger threshold is above the waveform and also the data field however it won't trigger off the input data field.. tried hex binary and decimal.. seems to be Hex 0-F as won't accept ascii values.. if I type "U" from the terminal n,8,1 115200 and put 55 in the data field it triggers on any value.. not just 55. I want to trigger on a data value and then scroll along the data steam to find any issue.

how do I successfully set the trigger data mask?

6074BC supports UARTdecoding, decoded data is displayed in hexadecimal.

Thank you for your response.. i have three questions,

1) Where is the decoded data displayed? I assume the Data field in the trigger box (blue star) is the trigger data mask?

2) What does Table do? (purple marker)

3) What does the Connect colours mean (Red marker).. mine flicks between, grey, orange... is that correct? The 6074BC has a green LED above the CH1 connector.

Does anyone know how to achieve the last screen on the Hantek 6074BC website http://hantek.com/en/ProductDetail_2_9163.html ?

After setting the trigger parameters, the decoding is automatically displayed at the top.
Data(blue star) means trigger on the defined data bit, when you choose "Data" for trigger.
Click Table to view the data record, click again to exit the data record.

Need to set the corresponding baud rate and trigger conditions.

I believe I am... I have duplicated the exact setup on the UART picture above and I don't get an automatic decode.. I have downloaded and re-installed the SW from the 6074BC download page on the website. No change. What version / source of software are you using for these screen examples? Where can I get it from? The version I have seems to be from 2016 there must be more up to date versions than that?

Two other areas of inconsistency...

1) The Connect indicator on the interface blinks Orange is that normal?
2) The drop down trigger screen does not have decode options like the side panel trigger screen?

Where can I download HT6000BX version 2.2.1 to try as that version seems to work from the screen shots posted above?

It is normal for the orange connection indicator to flash.
Please refer this file to operate.

To get a solution to the serial data decode I have looked at other software solutions and have found Sigrok and Pulseview. I have not been able to get Pulseview working due to incompatible USB Drivers so I have investigated further with the Hantek USB drivers.
I am checking the three areas of the Hantek system..
1) Hardware (which I believe works as I get waveforms when I install then V2.2.6 software except serial decoding)
2) Application Software which doesn't seem to have been updated since 2016 yet it moved from V2.2.5 to V2.2.6 sometime between April and May.
I would like Hantek to publish SW updates like any other tech product companies with clear release notes with bug fix notes.
3) USB Drivers which may partially work as I get data from hardware to the Application code on the PC and need to resolve the USB driver error / warnings in the device manager console.A number of posts about being people being unable to connect with Hantek driver and checked my device manager console. I found that first entry was "Device not migrated" is this normal of an issue? See image.

To Hantek tech support.. Please respond .. Many thanks
To anyone else that has seen these issue and resolved them or know where to look please reply. Thanks.

Just uploaded the new FPGA image F004 to the 6074 Unit and it has made a big difference.
The trigger level Normal now works and the Data fields appear. The TABLE still seems laggy and seems to get stuck in a loop of showing old data.
(in testing if baud rate made a difference I had made a mistake and had a baud rate mismatch between trigger and terminal)
Thank you wangshuang would be good if you put the latest FPGA images on the downloads section along with the version numbers of all the latest releases.
Hope this thread has helped someone else.
I will be keeping a eye open for new FW and SW updates.
I will also look to use sigrok but I will do it on a new thread if required.
