Greetings,
I have attempted to upgrade the firmware on my DSO5102P oscilloscope, S/N T 1G/138024742 currently running 3.40.0 (180120.0)
I receive the following error when inserting a USB stik with the dso5kp_func_dso5102p20190125.up file in my new DSO5102P and attempting to upgade the firmware pressing 'Confirm':
"Firmware update failed, error 0xfe
No upgrade files detected on USB device!"
Please assist.
Also, is there a change log indicating what is different or changed about the new firmware?

First, confirm the format of the USB stick is FAT32. And the memory less than 16G.
If there is no problem, but still unable to upgrade, refer to this attachment to do USB disk partition. https://fil.email/FSTumYJ3
And try to update again.

My USB was FAT32 and 1G. Using DiskGenius worked. Can you explain why the USB FAT32 partition by Windows did not work but the DiskGenius partition does work?
Also, is there a change log for the latest firmware upgrade?

Dear hantek support,
I contact you because I have exactly the same issue as "OrcaSea" on my brand new DSO510P that I want to upgrade with the latest firmware.
When trying to upgrade the firmware with a FAT32 USB less than 500Mo I have the error message :
"Firmware update failed, error 0xfe
No upgrade files detected on USB device!"
The newfirmware file I want to push is named : dso5kp_func_dso5102p20190125.up
My version of DSO5102P is the following:
SW version 3.40.0(180120.0)
HW version 1010xfff8108
PS : I've also tried to save some "waveform" on the USB key but it seems to not work too... (I've tried multiple USB keys with same results).
Need to format a new USB key (the first one did'nt worked I don't know why).
With the new key the first attempt failled with a message like "illegal firmaware version... " (I didn't note the complete message).
After the second try the update worked fine....
strange that it is so difficult to upgrade the firmware on a product like this...
