6. Press Mode and continue pressing the softkey to select the sweep to trigger on: ? Auto Cause the oscilloscope to sweep, even without a trigger. ? Normal The oscilloscope only sweeps if the input signal reaches the set trigger point; otherwise the screen is frozen on the last acquired waveform. 7. Press Coupling and continue pressing the softkey to select the components of the trigger signal applied to the trigger circuitry: ? AC Blocks DC components and attenuates signals below 10Hz. ? DC Passes all components of the signal. ? Noise Reject Eliminating noise from the trigger signal to prevent false triggering. ? HF Reject Attenuates the high-frequency components above 80kHz. ? LF Reject Blocks DC components and attenuates the low-frequency components below 8kHz. 8. Press When and continue pressing the softkey to select the type of pulse to trigger on: ? = Pulse is equal to the width setting ±5%. ? ≠ Pulse is not equal to the width setting ±5%. ? > Pulse is greater than the width setting. ? < Pulse is leass than the width setting. NOTE The pulse width of the source must be ≥5ns so that the oscilloscope can detect the pulse. 9. Press Pulse Width and turn the multi-functional knob to adjust the width setting from 20 ns to 10 s.
