Has anyone seen this issue before with ver 2.1.34 ?    Version 2.1.31 doesn't have the same issue.   FFT doesn't work correctly on ver 2.1.31 so I've resorted to using two versions.    I've tried uninstalling everything,   reinstalling,  changed folder permissions,  etc.   The problem occurs when the DDS is turned on and each time after any action,  so clicking on just about anything on the DDS tab throws this error.

So any ideas on this problem ?      Version 2.1.31 doesn't have the issue,  it's only the latest 2.1.34 that does.

Thanks for that.

I found another issue with the DDS.

If you turn on the DDS enter a frequency over 200 Khz and click Arb you get the correct signal.   If you then click Sine you'll get a sine-wave that is the frequency you set times itself divided by 100.   So if you set 300 khz , click Arb you will get a 300 khz signal,  if you then click on Sine you get a 900 khz signal (300 x (300/100))  So 300 x 3.   If you set 500 Khz click Arb and then click sine you end up with a 2500 Khz signal  (500 x 5).

So issue only appears to happen over 200 Khz.   This is really easy to reproduce.

Ok,  we are making good progress.

I found another issue,  this time with AM/FM,  mostly FM.

AM modulation appears to work,  however the "CW Frequency" should be "Mod Frequency" or "Modulation Frequency".   So really just a typographic issue.

FM on the other hand has some serious issues.   It would appear the Parameter frequency is being ignored to set the carrier frequency and instead "CW Frequency" is being used to set the Carrier frequency.   This is fine except I can't get the modulation frequency to set.   Perhaps the "Frequency" and "CW Frequency" fields are flipped around.    In any event FM modulation isn't working at all well for me.    The DDS functions are getting very close to fully working.

Edit:
I confirmed that the two frequency fields appear flipped,  also entering 10000000 (10Mhz) into the CW Frequency field results in a carrier frequency of 5 Mhz (1/2).    I can post more details if needed.   The data is being pulled from the wrong field for setting the carrier frequency as well as the modulation frequency,   this is only a problem for FM,  AM works well.

Thanks

OK,  oddly AM is now suffering the same issues as FM.   The Frequency field is being ignored and instead the carrier frequency is set by the CW Frequency.  It appears to not have the same issue of being 1/2 the set frequency.

Has the AM/FM issues with the DDS been looked at yet ?

Thanks
