The function of automobile ignition system

Ignition system is the engine which can provide a sufficient amount of voltage to
the ignition system at any speed and different load, so that the spark plug can
generate enough spark to ignite the mixture gas in the cylinder, and make the
mixture gas within the cylinder to get the best combustion efficiency.

The ignition system equipped with basic gear --

power supply, ignition system (battery), ignition trigger device,

ignition timing control device, high voltage generator (ignition coil),

high voltage power distribution device, high voltage wire and spark plug.

The current auto spark advancer has been changed into ECU (Electronic Control Unit)

computer control, ECU collects the signals like engine speed, intake manifold pressure

and temperature or air flow, throttle position, battery voltage, water temperature,

knock and crankshaft position etc., ultimately calculates the ignition timing advance

angle, then issues ignition signal to achieve the purpose of controlling the ignition timing.
