How to use the counter of HDG6162B?

The arb./function waveform generator HDG6162B provides a counter which can measure various parameters (such as frequency, period, duty cycle, positive pulse width and negative pulse width) of external input signal.

How to Enable the Counter?

Press Counter key at the front panel to enable the counter function. the backlight of the key turns on and indicator blink.
Input the signal to connector to measure.

Disable the Counter
If the counter is currently turned on and the screen displays the counter interface, pressing Counter will disable the counter function. If the counter is currently turned on and the screen displays the counter interface, pressing other keyboards except Counter will minimize the counter interface.


Mini Display the Counter Interface
If the counter is currently turned on and the screen displays interfaces other than the counter interface, pressing Counter will switch to the counter interface. Note: The CH1 sync output will be disabled when the counter is enabled.

Setup the Counter
Gate time
How to set up the gate time of the measurement system?
Press Gate time softkey, and use the direction keys and knob to modify the current value. The default value is 1s and the settable range is from 10ms to 16s.

Sensitivity
How to set up the trigger sensitivity of the counter?
Press Sensitivity softkey. Use the direction keys and knob to modify the current value. The default is 50% and the range available is from 1% to 100%.

Trig Level
How to set up the trigger level of the counter?
Press TrigLevel softkey. Use the direction keys and knob to modify the current value. The default is 0V and the range available is from -2.5V to 2.5V.

Note: The system triggers and gets the measurement readings when the input signal reaches the specified trigger level.
